Most people that check my blog will probably never have a chance to visit this shop but i have to say that they have treated me pretty damn well since i moved to missoula. my first day in the shop i met the owner and as we were conversing i had mentioned that i brought all my fly tying shit but forgot to pack my vice. he quickly offered me to borrow one of the shops vices until my wife sent mine. he also offered for me to use one of his float tubes if i needed to. i thought that was pretty damn cool. the owner kept offering me stuff, my roommate was there as well and was wondering if the owner was going to offer me his wife as well. haha! the shop is well equipped and has a ton of materials that i had never seen before and russell, the owner, is a hell of a guy.

i have to agree with you. it is a great shop. welcome to missoula.
if you ever want someone to fish with let me know. i'm up here without the family so if i'm not working i'm fishing
When I was in grad school at UM a few years back, Russell let me borrow his steelhead net for one of my first trips to the Clearwater. He didn't give up his secret spots until I brought him a bottle of Maker's Mark. Then we pulled up to his computer and opened up Google Maps. :-) Great owner, great staff, best shop in Missoula. Tell him hello...
